If you've browsed the various pages on this site, you'll already have a good sense of what's included when you rent a Kasteliades Château for a holiday with family and friends.
This section brings much of that information together so you can book your holiday with full confidence — no surprises, just the perfect stay.
Exclusive use
The Château, its gardens, terrace, and all indoor and outdoor facilities are for your private use throughout your stay.
WiFi (upgraded in 2026)
All of our Châteaux have high speed fibre-optic internet distributed via newly upgraded WiFi networks, providing full coverage throughout each property, including the outdoor pool and dining terrace. Stay seamlessly connected — or blissfully disconnected — as the mood takes you.
Flexible bed configurations
Most bedrooms can be set up as either twin beds or a king-size double. We’ll contact you about two months before arrival to confirm your preferences.

Beds are made up for your arrival and comprise:

Bed linen and towels are refreshed weekly for stays longer than one week. For example : if you are staying for 2 weeks, the linen will be changed at the end of week 1.
If you wish a mid-week refresh, you are welcome to launder items yourself, or you can order extra bed linen sets.
Premium Service option
With the Premium service option, the beds will be made up mid-stay but the sheets aren't changed.
Bathroom linen
Bathroom linen is provided as follows:

2 large size towels per double bedroom

1 shower towel mat per bathroom
Extra towel packs can be ordered as an option.
A quick note… For hygiene reasons, bathroom towels are not intended for pool use. If you don't want to bring your own, we also offer our pool towel rental pack.
Premium service option
If you book the Premium service option, fresh towels and shower mats are provided mid-stay and a Pool Towel pack is also included.
Dining and kitchen linen
Dining room
Dining tables come with wipe-clean PVC tablecloths as standard, plus one set of white cotton tablecloths and napkins for you to use and launder as you wish.
Extra dining room linen can be ordered as an option.
Kitchen
We provide 12 cotton tea-towels which you can launder as necessary.
Baby equipment
The following equipment for babies is provided free of charge:

Simply let us know up to one week before arrival.
Pool heating and air-conditioning
All utility costs, including pool heating, central heating and reversible air-conditioning (cooling / heating) in the bedrooms, are included throughout the season.
Our pools are open from April through October, but exact opening dates depend on the ambient air temperature. For the heat pumps to work effectively, the temperature needs to be above 15°C. In early April and late October, low night time temperatures may require us to switch the system off to prevent damage.
Electric car charging
Each Château has a dedicated, free-to-use slow trickle charger. It provides enough overnight charge for local travel — ideal for topping up before heading to a faster public charger.
Check-in guided tour
For arrivals between 15h00 and 17h00, a member of our team will show you around the property so you feel immediately at home — including how to operate the sliding pool cover and other facilities.
Welcome kit
Our welcome kit includes:

A welcome soap (30 g bar) and shower gel (150 ml) in each bedroom

A hairdryer in all bedrooms

Boxes of tissues in all bedrooms and other rooms

5 rolls of toilet paper per toilet

Hand soap in the ground-floor toilet

1 x 2.5 kg bag of charcoal for the barbecue

Château Digital Guidebook
Each Château has it's own Digital Guidebook, accessible on desktop, tablet or mobile. Packed with practical information, operating instructions, and local recommendations, your personal 'concierge' will be an invaluable companion both before and during your stay. Access to the guidebook is available upon reservation confirmation.
Cleaning products and utensils
A full supply is provided for the duration of your stay, including:

Cleaning
On arrival
On arrival, the Château is thoroughly cleaned to high standards — interiors, bathrooms, kitchen, terrace, pool area, and grounds are all prepared for you. Pool water hygiene is verified.
During your stay
In-stay cleaning is not included in the 'Standard' rental. The Premium Service option includes a mid-stay clean - see here for details.
We also provide you with contacts of external providers should you wish a specific cleaning service.
End of stay cleaning…included, with just a little help from you!
At the end of your stay, our team handles the majority of the cleaning. We simply ask that you:

Tidy up rooms and return any moved furniture or accessories to their original place

Leave the kitchen tidy with dishes washed and put away

Dispose of meal left-overs
-
Dispose of fresh food left-overs (intact fresh food can be left in the refrigerator)

Place any non-perishable food that you're not taking away on the kitchen counter top
You don't need to vacuum and clean floors, nor wash bed linen, towels, or tablecloths. The key idea here is…a general tidy up and we'll do the heavy lifting !
If you book the Premium service option:
A member of our team will be present on the morning of your departure to help tidy up the kitchen.
Charges and taxes
The rental price includes all utility costs — water, electricity, gas, firewood, etc. — and French sales tax. Only the Tourist Tax (Taxe de Séjour) is added on a per adult basis - see the Rates & availability page for more information.
Maintenance visit
One of our team will pop by once during your stay for a discreet maintenance visit to check the pool, mow the lawns, and handle any minor needs — without disturbing your holiday.
Notable exclusions
…and some practical advice
We keep things clear and transparent so you can plan with confidence, knowing what to expect. Here’s what’s not included in the rental, along with a few practical notes.
Self-catering basis only
Our Châteaux are rented on a pure self-catering basis. We do not provide meals, grocery shopping, or food delivery. Please note that here are no Uber Eats or Deliveroo. services in the area and restaurants generally don't cater for take-away meals.
Our kitchens are equipped to a high standard and cooking is generally a big part of the fun for our guests (check out our Kitchen inventory).
For special occasions we can recommend three excellent local chefs who can come to the Château.
Our digital Guidebooks list nearby supermarkets and weekly markets to make shopping easy.
Travel arrangements
The rental price covers the Château only and doesn't include flights, trains, or transfers to or from the property. We don't arrange these on your behalf, but our Travel guide offers helpful advice, recommended airports and stations, and negotiated taxi rates.
Transport during your stay
We don't provide on-site transport services. At least one car (ideally more for a larger group) is essential for grocery runs. Local taxis can be arranged via the contacts in the digital Guidebook, though they can be tricky to book and are relatively expensive. There are no ride-sharing services like Uber in the area.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies, lost belongings, and any activities (including use of the bikes provided). Kasteliades cannot be held responsible for theft of or damage to your personal items.
Concierge services
We do not offer a dedicated concierge service as part of the rental, so we do not make reservations or arrangements on your behalf (restaurant bookings, wine tastings, tourist activities, grocery shopping, or babysitting).
The Château Digital Guidebook
The Digital Guidebook serves as your helpful “concierge in your pocket”, packed with contacts, recommendations, and practical information for each Château.
Tourist tax
The small local Tourist Tax (Taxe de Séjour) isn't included in the rental rate. It is added to your final balance and calculated per adult (18+) according to local council rates, which may vary slightly by Château and can change. Current rates are shown on the Rates & availability page.
Breakages and damage
We understand that accidents happen and won’t charge for the occasional broken glass. However, for multiple breakages or damage to larger items (such as a broken window, damaged bike, or cracked pool canopy), we apply a charge at replacement value.
Special cleaning
We’d like to think you’ll treat the Château as you would your own home. While the end-of-stay clean is mostly included, an additional charge may apply in rare cases where extra work is needed — for example, crayon on walls, unwashed dishes after the final meal, or not following the refuse sorting rules (which can result in a fine for us).
