A family story
A passion for restoration
Kasteliades was born in 2008, when we bought our first Château and began a major restoration project. What started as a shared passion for historic buildings soon became a family undertaking, and over the years we went on to restore six properties in southern Burgundy.
We work as a family with our son Antoine, our daughter Juliette and her partner Matthias, alongside our own team of technicians. Together, we have preserved the historic character of these remarkable buildings while giving them a new purpose as welcoming holiday homes for families and friends.
Personally run, closely cared for
Because we have restored the Châteaux ourselves, we know them intimately. Today, we continue to run Kasteliades as a family, overseeing the care and improvement of each property and welcoming the guests who come to stay. Many return year after year, and the personal connection we build with our guests has always been a natural part of Kasteliades.
As Kasteliades evolved, we chose to sell our smaller properties and keep our three largest Châteaux. This allows us to concentrate our time, experience and energy on continuing to improve them, while preserving the family involvement that has shaped Kasteliades from the beginning.

Brought back to life
Before and after
Most of the work shown here was carried out in house, by our family and our own team. We bring in specialist contractors only for the heaviest work. Everything else — restructuring rooms, moving doorways, plumbing, electrics, joinery, kitchens, bathrooms and decoration — is completed by our own team.
Sylvia is responsible for the interior design throughout the Châteaux, from the colour schemes and furnishings to the restoration and painting of furniture. The family and our in-house team also carry out the finishing and decorative work, including the intricate restoration of original painted ceilings. From major restructuring to the smallest details, each transformation has been shaped by us.
