A magical Château for holiday
rental in Burgundy

Space to gather. Time to unwind

Château de Burnand, a 14th to 19th-century estate, has been fully renovated, bringing new life to this former sleeping beauty. Set within a 32-acre park with 22 acres of ancient forest, it overlooks the village of Burnand with sweeping views over the valley. The beautiful interior living spaces blend historic features — French Renaissance painted ceilings, Burgundy oak floors, and fireplaces — with modern comfort, making it ideal for a relaxed stay with family and friends.

The 900 m² home offers 10 double and 1 single air-conditioned bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, plus a children’s room. The wide terrace, with its heated swimming pool, dining area, summer kitchen and barbecue, forms the natural centre of daily life. For larger groups, the optional Hunting Lodge behind the Château can also be rented (see details at the end of the page).

Hiking and cycling trails start right at the Château gate, inviting you to explore the surrounding countryside at your own pace. The medieval town of Saint-Gengoux-le-National is just a five-minute drive away, while Tournus — the gastronomic capital of Southern Burgundy, known for its Michelin-starred restaurants — lies only twenty minutes further.

Guest book

Absolutely wonderful and an amazing experience! Christophe and his family are great to work with and the communication was impeccable. I highly recommend staying here. Each room is uniquely beautiful and the entire area is gorgeous. My entire family loved our week and didn’t want to leave… Book this trip of a lifetime!!

Nicholas Mozea - USA

The Chateau de Burnand is magnificent! The views are spectacular — rolling hills and gorgeous scenery. There are hiking trails all around the chateau just steps from the chateau. The swimming pool is a great place to relax and enjoy the views. …This place is magical. The owner is a professional who makes sure his properties are well maintained.

James Oliver

Dear Christophe,
A week at your Château was life changing! You have created a magical place - a haven from the madness of the world.
Thank you.
