EVENTS & SERVICES AT THE CHÂTEAU

Private chefs, entertainers, housekeeping…

We work with a small group of trusted local people who can come directly to the Château. Whether you fancy a private chef for an evening or two, a musician on the terrace, or some extra practical help — these are just a few possibilities if the mood takes you.

Chefs at the Château

Three different styles for a taste of
Burgundy at its best

We recommend three excellent local chefs who know our kitchens well and come to the Châteaux for private dinners. Each brings their own style, so you can choose the experience that suits your group: Chef Thomas, Chef Raphaël and Chef Agnes.

There is probably no better way to become more acquainted with the regional culinary delights than having your own personal chef cook for your group. You will learn so much more about Burgundy cuisine and what to look for in the local markets should you be tempted to cook a regional dish yourself.

Please note that our recommended chefs are available for evening dinners only, with the exception of Chef Agnès who also offers a morning 'Super Brunch'. They don't provide 3-meals-a-day or 7-days-a-week service.

CHEFS

Chef Thomas

A gastronomic experience with Thomas Lecourbe, one of Burgundy's best chefs

After training in some of France's most respected kitchens, including Pavillon Ledoyen and Pierre Gagnaire in Paris, Thomas returned to Burgundy, where he spent two years at the three-star Michelin restaurant Lameloise in Chagny.

Thomas and his team are available to cook at the Château during your stay, whether for a special celebration, a relaxed family meal or several evenings throughout the week. We have been recommending Thomas to our guests since 2009, and many count an evening with him among the highlights of their time in Burgundy

Chef Raphaël

A gourmet cuisine inspired by Bresse and Burgundy specialities

After owning an excellent local restaurant for 15 years, Chef Raphael turned to providing private cooking experiences with a cuisine based on regional specialities, including many of the local AOP and AOC products made by artisans (these 'Appellations' ensure authenticity and quality).

Chef Raphaël comes to all three of our Châteaux but is only available from Tuesday through Friday.

Chef Agnès

A wide range of menus celebrating traditional regional cooking as well as a 'Super-Brunch'

After working under Alain Franck, an unconventional chef and author of The Franck Method (2012), Chef Agnès founded "Cook à Dom" in 2017 to offer unique culinary experiences, including private chef services, cooking classes, and chocolate workshops.

Chef Agnès offers an extensive range of regional dishes for her dinner services as well as a 'Super Brunch' covering morning and lunchtime. Vegetarian options are also available if required.

IDEAS

Wine tasting at the Château

A private tasting with Domaine Guillot-Broux

Kasteliades has partnered with Domaine Guillot-Broux, a respected family wine estate in the Mâconnais, to offer private wine tastings directly at the Château. Led in English by a member of the Guillot-Broux family, the tasting includes six different wines from the domaine, accompanied by gougères apéritif bites, with tasting glasses provided. It is a relaxed and very convenient way to enjoy a great Burgundy wine tasting without leaving the Château.

A Burgundy wine pairing at the Château

Domaine Guillot-Broux can also provide a sommelier service for dinner at the Château, supplying the wines and accompanying the meal with wine service and commentary. This can be arranged alongside one of our reommended chefs, or simply as part of an evening where guests are cooking for themselves. It is a lovely way to turn dinner at the Château into a relaxed Burgundy wine experience, without leaving home for the evening.

Massages

A relaxing massage at the Château

All of the fitness and wellness areas in our houses are equipped with a massage table. Whilst you can always hone your own skills, we have three recommended professional beauticians and masseuses who you can hire for a soothing experience at the Château.

Combine a private concert with one of our recommended chefs, and you're sure to have a wonderful evening at the Château.
