Château de Montsymond, built in 1571 and offering around 1000 m² of living space, is set in a quiet countryside location in Southern Burgundy. The Château retains its historic character with beautifully preserved French ceilings, original fireplaces, wooden floors and period details throughout. Set within a beautiful 17-acre enclosed park, it offers a rare sense of space and calm, with a jogging trail running through the grounds beneath centuries-old trees.
The Château has 10 air-conditioned double bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a children’s bedroom. Living spaces have been carefully restored to combine authenticity with comfort, while a spacious, fully equipped kitchen opens directly onto the terrace with its dining area and heated swimming pool. Just beyond, a landscaped area features a children’s playground, mini-golf and outdoor fitness equipment.
Cycling and walking routes start directly from the gate, allowing the surrounding countryside to be explored with ease. The medieval village of Romenay is a short five minute drive away, while Tournus — known for its Michelin-starred restaurants — is only twenty minutes from the estate.

Château de Montsymond offers ten double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom and reversible air conditioning. The bedrooms vary in size, from generous rooms to smaller doubles. A separate child bedroom completes the accommodation, making the Château particularly well suited to family groups.
Original parquet floors and a simple, well-balanced style give the bedrooms an understated feel. They sit naturally within the character of the house, with comfortable furnishings, high-quality beds and mattresses for a great night’s sleep.

The terrace at Château de Montsymond forms the centrepiece for outdoor holiday life. Direct access from the kitchen allows you to make the most of the terrace dining area and barbecue station, while just beyond lies the heated swimming pool with sun loungers and straw parasols. A discreet sliding dome pool cover brings peace of mind, and allows swimming in cooler weather.
*With regard to pool heating…
The pool is open from April through October, but exact opening dates depend on the ambient air temperature. For the heat pump to work effectively, the temperature needs to be above 15°C. In early April and late October, low night time temperatures may require us to switch the heating system off to prevent damage.

At Château de Montsymond, the living areas are practical and well laid out, making day-to-day living during your holiday feel immediately natural. The kitchen is bright and functional, with a casual eating space on the island counter for smaller groups and direct access to the terrace.
The main dining room, with its painted beamed ceiling and fireplace, is ideally suited for long, relaxed meals. Upstairs, a large lounge with leather seating offers a change of scene. A billiard room, along with a poker and chess room, brings an easy-going feel to the house — whether for a game, a conversation, or a moment to yourself.
