A warm thank you to all our visitors from the world who took the time to write us a mail, or leave a word in our golden books. This trace of their stay with us in Burgundy will stay in our memories and their satisfaction is warming up our hearts.
Sometimes it was not easy or possible for me to understand the words left by hand writing in our golden books and I have not been able to copy words left in other languages than English or French. So I would like to tell the authors to excuse me for this.

La cheminée, l'excellent chauffage nous ont fait oublier le froid extérieur. Très belle demeure, bien équipée, que nous rêvons de découvrir aux beaux jours.
A great stay, we go back to Paris for some of us, or south of France, and we will come back. Happy New Year from all of us.
We came to celebrate our Golden Wedding with all the children and grand-children, 14 in total. We have had a marvellous week with perfect weather all week. Lovely sunny days made perfect by this wonderful swimming-pool. Nous vous remercions Christophe pour cette maison superbe et une ambiance parfaite. Nous reviendrons! Ps: Give Chester some milk.
A second week for the second half of the family and equally successful. I can particularly remember warm evenings in the terrace listening to the wildlife. Many thanks to Christophe for his usual hospitality and the excellent choices of wines to complement another fantastic diner with Thomas. Will look forward to a return to Burgundy in the near future.
13 of us had a lovely time in the Chateau Mercurey. 3 special occasions were celebrated: Christmas, a wedding anniversary and New Year's Eve. This was once in a life time experience and we relished it. The surrounding villages and towns were delightful, and the centuries of history mind blowing. We admire the fact that the chateau has been rescued and brought back to life. Well done !
Cher Christophe. C'était de nouveau une grande fête de séjourner avec toute la famille (17 personnes dont 8 enfants) dans l'une de vos magnifiques demeures. La dernière fois au château de Lans, et cette fois ci à Mercurey. Vu le temps magnifique nous avons passé beaucoup de temps au bord de la piscine et tous les soirs nous y avons dîné. Mais nous avons pu profiter également de toutes les autres possibilités: la salle de gym, le sauna, le hammam, le ping-pong, le jeu de boules... Nous en garderons tous un merveilleux souvenir et qui sait reviendrons nous la prochaine fois au château de Montsymond. Au nom de toute la famille, un grand merci !

Having already experienced a fantastically successful holiday in Château de Mercurey in 2011, I was unsure whether to repeat it at Château de Lans. Grandchildren all wanted to come, aged 8 to 22, plus my 3 children & spouses! Not once anyone said "I'm bored" or even worse disappearing behind an electronic device! They have tried everything from the gym, bikes & games. They have played water polo and various games they devised from the pool. We have eaten and drunk our way through the week, hoping our activities have made up for any excess. Thomas's gastronomic menu was a wonderful last evening. A marvellous week for us all.
