Our cleaning ladies work for us for check in and check out days, they have another job during the week and therefore are not available to work for our guests. Some of our cleaning ladies have their own cleaning and services small companies, we present them on our website in the local information section of each property. So please contact them directly.
------------------------------------
Information regarding check in and check out time:
-The cleaning ends at 3pm, so check in is possible from 3pm (not before).
-We have no staff living at the Chateau or nearby. Our collaborator or a member of our family who will welcome you and give you a detailed guided tour of the Chateau is working there all day from 8am to 5pm (check out previous guests, maintenance on pool and gardens, your check in). We cannot ask him to work more than 9 hours that day so in case you would arrive after 5pm we will have to organize a self-check-in procedure. You can always text or email us a message when you are driving to the Chateau to give us your expected arrival time.
-The check out is between 8.30am and 9.30am. Our collaborator or a member of our family will arrive at 8.15am and will work outside until you inform him that he can go around the chateau to do the check out controls (this takes about 10-15 minutes). If you want to check out earlier please inform us a few days in advance so we can send you a collaborator or a member of our family earlier.

Why can’t we check in earlier than 3pm or check out later than 9.30am?
We need these 5 hours between check out and check in because since Covid our cleaning staff follow strict hygiene and cleaning procedures which requires time. And a château is much bigger than a house ^^.

Q : Trains and planes

Trains :
- Le Creusot TGV in a High Speed Trains station only (ideal for Mercurey and Lans). So it is the fastest way to reach Paris (1H15 minuts).
This train station is 25 minutes from Mercurey, 35 minutes from Lans, and 45 minutes from Saunières.
- Beaune train station is probably the best choice to reach Villa Saunières from Paris, 20 minuts drive.
- Macon train station is the best option for Chateau de Montsymond (35 minutes drive).

Airports :
Lyon airport is about 60 to 90 minutes drive to our 4 Kasteliades properties.
Geneva airport is about 90 minutes to 2 hours drive  to our 4 Kasteliades properties.
From Paris aiports we advise you to rent a car and drive about 3 hours to reach our properties. Or take a train to one of the stations we recommend above.

Q : We would like to welcome friends on visit during our stay, or organize a party with guests above the sleeping capacity of the property.

A: The capacity of our Château indicated on the rental contract is also valid for the parc and gardens of our Chateau. So it is not permitted to welcome in the property as a whole more people than the authorized capacity.

Q : We would like to visit some wineries on our own :

Each village in Burgundy has more than 100 wine producers. My recommendation is to use the "Hachette" wine guide which we provide in the living-room library. This bible of wine in France recommends about 10 producers in each village, who offer good quality wines and who are organized to welcome public. So, just stop into a village, take the adress of the winery of your choice in the book, use your GPS to reach the place and just knock at the door. If the wine producer is away, take the next one which might only be 200 meters further.
Most people coming for the first time in Burgundy think they need assistance or a company to organize a wine tour for them. It is not the case. Wine producers are used to have people knocking at the door without any appointment. Avoid visits on Sundays and at lunch time.
Obviously the top 200 producers in Burgundy do not welcome public and do not have any wine to sell to the public. You can taste the wines of 21 of these Elite producers who don't welcome public at Christophe's wine tastings events (owner of the Kasteliades properties and wine expert). Christophe's wine tasting program can be sent by email on request.

"Rue des Vignerons" is a very usefull website where you can organize easily your bookings at a good selection of wine producers who welcome public : https://www.ruedesvignerons.com/fr/region/vignoble-bourgogne

Q :We would like to hire a minibus or several vans with driver to explore the region as a group.

-https://travel21.fr/ this is a private driver with a 7 passengers Mercedes van.
-https://passeport-bourgogne.com/ This company has a fleet of vehicules with private drivers.
-  To hire a coach or minibus with driver for any type of journey, request a quote on the Groupito agency website (click here for the link) which is sending your request to several bus companies.
- Taxi Tribolet owns a 33 seater minibus and can provide all types of transport. (3 x 7-seater taxis, 2 x 7-seater passenger transport vehicles, 1 x 33-seater bus). Contact https://www.taxitribolet.fr/
