Next to the summer house is the stone barbecue inviting poolside lunch parties and aperitifs during long summer evenings…a real heavenly corner !

Genuine yet Comfortable

The ‘Haussman’ design gives the château an unusual style for the area. The façade is richly decorated with mouldings and sculptures, and the central round tower, which serves as a winter garden, adds a romantic touch.
All the original features have been conserved in the lounge, dining room and bedrooms. : the wooden floors, the moulded ceilings and wood panelling aswell as the fireplaces, doors and windows.
From the balcony on the tower, accessible via one of the VIP bedrooms, take in the superb view across to the village of Mercurey and the surrounding vineyards.
You are sure to appreciate the spacious leisure area in the basement with its gym, sauna and relaxation area. Building work is being undertaken at present to bring you the highest comfort you could get. The decoration and furnishings are been chosen with greatest care, a successful mix of traditional and contemporary styles.

By the fireside…

The lounge has a fireplace which date back to the 19th century. An electric fireplace system will enable you to make the most of evenings around the fire with family or friends, without the trouble to have to carry wood and start the fire...
There is a traditional fireplace in the dining-room where you can made wood-fire. Wood is provided, included in our rental price (this applies during cold seasons).

The lounge and the tower

You will appreciate the 19th century fresque which covers all four walls of the lounge. The theme, ‘Eden’, is hand-painted on paper as was the practise in prestigious households in those days. This famous wall paper is exhibited in the ‘Musée d’Orsay’ in Paris.
The central tower is arranged as a winter garden and, just next to the lounge, it serves as a doorway out to the garden and the pool. This is the smokers area as smoking is prohibited in the rest of the château.

The lounge is extremely light and airy, with large windows opening out onto the parkland. The moulded ceilings, the wood panelling and the oak floor are original and give a genuine atmosphere.
Books in the library are at your disposal during your stay.
An English style pool table, a big screen high definition television with Sattelite channels, a blu-ray DVD player plus a Playstation 3 will ensure evenings full of entertainment.
The lounge can be adapted slightly to accommodate meetings and seminars.

The dining room

The dining table can seat up to 18 people. As in the lounge, the large windows go to create a light and airy dining room showing off the beautiful moulded ceiling, the original wood panelling and the old oak floor.
The glasses, crockery and cutlery, carefully selected by Sylvia, are at your disposal in the sideboard.
A breakfast corner is available close to the dining table: traditional coffee machine, Senseo coffee machine, Georges Clooney's favorite "Nespresso" coffee machine and an electric kettle.

The kitchen

The Château galley kitchen is fully equipped including : an oven, a microwave oven, a hob with 5 rings plus extractor fan, a dishwasher, a large refrigerator, a freezer, a toaster...
A full range of kitchen equipment, utensils and accessories is provided aswell as tea towels.
